At first, as some of you might have noticed, most of the links to download our podcast are dead, since it was all up on Megaupload. Don't worry. We are currently recovering all our mixes and musical selection on our Mixcloud page, so you'll enjoy all our podcasts very soon, and soon you'll hear some more fresh mixes, too. Feel free to visit and spread the Mixcloud page, we'll be very happy about it. Go here.

Second, since we are in the making of some new releases from several italian acts, soon you'll be able to find the entire SB catalogue on Bandcamp, too, with real fresh meat on a monthly basis for a while. We'll tell you more about the whole thing separately.

August Fannon, or Jamal, is a sir from Dallas, TX, who just sent us an email with a link to his bandcamp. Very humbly, he just asked for a listen to his freshly released free album. He describes himself as an "Educator and Producer jus rockin' steady and keepin' everythang cool...".

We're not new to submissions, and very often we have just to turn these down. Not the case for Black Kids Productions, Movie Scenes Vol. 1, a pleasant beat tape and a way to trip into Jamal's mind and music. The whole collage is effectively put up with a consistent texture of samples and hard drums, with vocal interpolations from videos, interviews, and films.

Check it, worth a good listen.

Another great find by them serious diggers at Ragnampiza, credit is due.

Guy's name is Gui Amabis. He's from Sao Paulo, Brasil. He's a musician that really deserve a special listen. He programs machines and plays several instruments, being part of a band called Sonantes, also, but not only.

Aside his band, most of his body of work comprehends soundtracks for films, dig for it and you'll see his scoring credits and productions are quite a bit.

His latest offering, which actually is his debut as a solo artist, is aptly titled Memoriàs Luso/Africanas, and takes the guy's cinematic style commenting his own private film. Alongside his wife CèU, who sings on most of the cuts, Gui composed the music setting his moods to match with and be built upon memories and images from his personal life. From grandma's stories about her family's african roots to childhood frames.

Although I feel bad every time people kill adjectives trying to describe what I refer to pure vibes, I have to say you're about to discover a rare gem with a delicate and loose, somehow, yet gentle approach. Word up.

You can find the album for free at Amabis' website, here. Not really "fresh meat" in the strict SB meaning, since the album dropped last June, but still fresh, very fresh, in many ways.

Wow, this one goes back to a time when things weren't exactly easier, but still enjoyable, for me and my whole crew. RCK original founding members Dj Peckerwood and Egar put up this jam in late 1996, in December, and the whole demo was done in like one week in Pecka's home studio, and sh*t was hilarious.

Freshly upped on the tube from unknown souls, some lost files from a deep archive. J Trivella told me about it, and here's him and Fippy tearing down the house on this, with an enormous and rare sax part played by the late great John Lombardo, who suddenly disappeared from the scenes around 2003. One of our all time favs.

The half french/half vietnamese producer goes back again to Vietnam to dig record shops totally random, and comes up with a bunch of sound that can be easily paired up to the Beat Konducta episode in India, but finer stuff, by the way. While Wikipedia shuts down his italian page to protest against the Wiretapping Act about to be discussed and possibly make it effective by Italian government, the streets react like this.

For those who don't know about the act, it's a law in Italy that would give those writing on the internet (mainly journalists and bloggers, finally) just 48 hours to remove a post or face €12,000 fine, if the person cited in the post itself feels offended. No cross examination to it, no freedom of expression.

The guy's name is Beast, Milan, and the poster was in the center of the town.
Yes, "it was", because it has already been removed by police.

It's a new day, yes. And we kind of celebrate it. With some news.

Step one, our posts won't be available via facebook anymore.
Step two, if you'll continue following us, you'll be able to notice some changes.
Step three, go back to step two, and add a little of spice to it.
Step four, we don't like to anticipate, but we're straight working for new days.

If you wonder why our material won't be on facebook anymore, it's basically 'cause we believe that we deserve something better than working for free for Mr. Zuckerberg.

Second, in this very strange times, we feel like the world needs more and more freedom of choice and wrong ideas to flourish: and when we say "wrong ideas" we mean GREAT ideas with a DIFFERENT twist, something you may not catch at first, like a subtle venom that acts slowly, but in the end, it does. Therefore, we are free to leave since the social network changes starting today (grab some infos about Facebook Timeline and judge by yourself) will continue endorsing and creating some NWO, as a matter of fact. We've been consciuos of what we've faced before, as we are, and since we find unuseful and dangerous this system, we're ready to go now.

Third, we don't really believe our readers, people who can still enjoy some contents and use their minds, grown up gents and ladies, are or will be on facebook, so far.
I mean, we're out of target.

Forth, we want some to HAPPEN. In fact, social networking to us means people, real people, real interactions, events, not only pictures on a digiwall. Matter of fact, when whe think about pictures on wall, we always have in mind things stuck in the past, or dead gone, either way. We don't complain about the media itself only, at the end, but could about the user. And since we're not against to it, we're just in favour of something else, we go.

Today, live in BK, at RMBA, the Black Moon will perform their first opus after an interesting speech in the afternoon, alongside Big Daddy Kane.
RBMA will celebrate hip hop in its place of birth, NYC.

Next week, in Rome, always RMBA, they will pay hommage to 60's and 70's soundtrack music in its place of birth. The title is "C'era una volta a Roma", or "Once upon a time in Rome". Well, we're happy about it, but let's face it, it's somehow a sad fable: almost 50 years that in Italy doesn't happen anything interesting or worth a celebration.
